MORE THAN BLUE KOREAN MOVIE

MORE THAN BLUE

More Than Blue (Hangul슬픔보다 더 슬픈 이야기RRSeulpeumboda Deo Seulpeun IyagiMRSŭlp‘ŭmpoda tŏ sŭlp‘ŭn iyagi) is a 2009 South Korean film. The directorial debut of poet Won Tae-yeon, it stars Kwon Sang-wooLee Bo-young and Lee Beom-soo in the lead roles. The film's Korean title translates as "A Story Sadder Than Sadness"

K and Cream first meet each other in high school & both are orphans; K was abandoned by his mother after his father died of cancer who nevertheless left him a sizable sum of money, while Cream lost her entire family in a traffic accident. The two become soulmates and come to share a home, though K watches Cream switch from boyfriend to boyfriend as he keeps his own feelings for her to himself. Knowing that Cream's biggest fear is to be left alone, K keeps the fact that he has terminal cancer a secret, and instead he urges her to marry a kind and healthy man. When Cream announces that she is in love with affluent doctor Joo-hwan, K is left heartbroken, but is satisfied that she has met her ideal partner.
Believing Cream has really found someone she loves, K asked Joo-hwan's fiance to break up with him. Joo-hwan's fiance agrees under the condition that K lets her take photographs of him. The audience later learns that Cream accidentally learns about K's illness when she takes what she thought were K's vitamins but in fact turned our to be pain medication for terminal cancer patients. It was shown earlier in the movie that Cream has asked K what his wish was; Cream finding a good and healthy man to spend her life with was what K wished for. Wanting to fulfill K's wish, Cream fakes falling in love with Joo-hwan. This part of the movie is shown at the end from Cream's perspective.
The night before Joo-hwan and Cream's wedding, K found the courage to tell Cream that he loves her while Cream replies "me, too." In the end, Cream believe that they are married because they walked down the aisle together when K is handing Cream off to Joo-hwan at their wedding. At the very end we see Joo-hwan at a burial site where he is visiting the grave of Cream and there he leaves a photograph of K and Cream as well as Cream's recorder. On it is a recording Cream made for K right before her suicide telling him to wait for her on the other side so that they can be together with "no more tears"

Asiana Flight 214 crash at San Francisco

Asiana Flight 214 from Seoul was attempting to land at San Francisco International Airport when it crashed

An Asiana Airlines flight from Seoul crashed on landing at San Francisco's airport Saturday, killing two passengers, injuring more than 180 and forcing dozens of frightened passengers and crew to scamper from the aircraft before it was engulfed in smoke and flames.
There were 307 on board, including 16 crew. Officials said 123 escaped without injury and 181 were hospitalized or treated for injuries. Among the injured, 49 are in serious condition and five at San Francisco General Hospital remain critical. Among the 47 others at San Francisco General, several were treated for minor injuries, including fractures and abrasions, and were released Saturday night.
"It was all over in 10 seconds," says Vedpa Singh, who suffered a fractured collarbone. "We heard a big bang, and it was over."
The cause of the crash has not been determined, but the FBI has has ruled out terrorism. The Boeing 777 appeared to have touched down tail-first and short of the runway. A sheered off tail section rested several hundred feet from the main body of the aircraft, and debris from the plane littered the runway.

The flight, which originated in Shanghai China before stopping in Seoul enroute to San Francisco, was carrying 61 U.S. citizens, 77 South Koreans and 141 Chinese. "We're lucky we have this many survivors,'' said San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee.
